I set up South Devon Fitness in 2016, having been a Personal Trainer for 20 years within a health club setting. I completed my studies in personal training and nutrition with weight management through the YMCA in Plymouth in 1999. I then did a further diploma in Personal training in 2013 to ensure my knowledge was up to date. Prior to working within health clubs I spent many years as a football coach working with former Plymouth Argyle manager and Arsenal coach Dave Smith
When I began life as a personal trainer I wanted to work with all different levels of ability and fitness. Over the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to train alongside and coach international sportmen and women. This has givem me a great insight into training world class competitors and has taken my knowledge to a higher level. However I get the greatest sense of fulfilment from working with people that have goals such as weight loss and improving their health & lifestyle.
I want exercise and health to be achievable for everyone, and to reassure people that fitness can be fun and you can achieve goals even with just a small amount of time and effort.
